Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the SEO Detector desktop tool handles Google Search Console data.
Data we access
Google handles sign-in and consent. With your permission, the tool receives OAuth tokens for read-only Search Console access (webmasters.readonly) and uses them to access resources that your Google account can view.
- Search Console property addresses and the permission levels Google returns for those properties.
- Search performance for selected sites, pages, and dates, including clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position. The tool also reads site-level daily totals to determine which dates have final data.
- Google’s recorded URL inspection results, including indexing and crawl details, canonical URLs, and discovery information when available.
How we use and share data
SEO Detector uses Search Console data to produce performance and indexing reports and help authorized operators diagnose issues. It uses OAuth tokens to call Google’s APIs and renew access when needed.
The tool sends API requests to Google and generates reports locally. The operator controls access to those files and any copies they export. The tool uses Google data only for the reporting and diagnostics described here.
Storage and retention
The Windows desktop tool protects stored OAuth credentials using Windows Data Protection tied to the local Windows user account. Search Console responses, cached results, activity records, and reports are stored as files on the operator’s computer.
Saved files remain until the operator or administrator removes them. The tool reuses cached results for efficiency. Cache freshness controls when the tool requests new data.
Remove access or request deletion
Open Google Account connections, select SEO Detector, and remove its access. This stops future access under that authorization. Previously saved files require separate deletion.
To remove data from a computer you control, delete its saved reports, raw responses, and caches. For copies managed by an administrator, contact the support address shown on the SEO Detector Google consent screen and ask the administrator to identify and delete the relevant files.
